Custom Orthotics

Custom-made orthotics are prescribed for many reasons by the medical community and are often covered by third party insurance companies.

Pronation, supination, foot, knee, back, hip pain, and flat feet are some of the most common conditions that orthotics are prescribed to treat.

Your Physiotherapist will assess your feet using several visual and hands on techniques. Then you will be asked to walk across a computer board called a Gain Scan. This system analyzes your walking patterns as well as your weight distribution while standing.

The order is then sent to the lab where a Certified Podiatrist will analyze and fabricate your orthotics.

Custom orthotics can last 1-3 years, but foot mechanics change with age; therefore, an assessment of your feet and gait analysis should be done annually.
