I graduated from the Medical Office Administrator Program while being a “stay at home Mom” and started working for the company in July of 2013. I continue to learn new skills whenever the opportunity knocks.

The best part of my day is seeing my patients leave the office feeling better and being able to return to the activities they love best.

Calvin DeFayette

Physiotherapy Assistant

Hi, I’m Calvin. I am a Physiotherapy Assistant and graduate of Bishop’s University. I grew up in Brockville, playing football and competitively swimming. This led me to pursue an education in sports science so that I can share my knowledge and experience with others.

In my free time I still like to swim, go hiking with my dog, and visit with friends and family. I consider myself lucky to be a part of the Brockville Physiotherapy team so that I can help others!

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a doctor’s referral to have physiotherapy?

A referral from your doctor is not required to receive physiotherapy unless you are being treated for a WSIB claim. Most private insurance companies do require a medical referral, so it is best to check with your provider prior to your first visit.

How quickly will I be seen for my first appointment?

We will make every effort to book an appointment within 24 hours.

How many treatments will I need?

Every condition is individually evaluated, based on the person and severity of their condition and patient activity expectations. Your Physiotherapist will advise you of an appropriate treatment plan after your initial assessment.

How long will my appointment be?

This depends on the injury and type of treatment you require, but you can expect to be in the clinic for approximately 45 minutes to one hour.

Do extended health benefits cover physiotherapy treatments?

Most health plans cover physiotherapy treatment. It is best to check with your provider for more specific details on your coverage.

I have been in a motor vehicle accident, do I need physiotherapy?

After you file a claim with your insurance company, visit your doctor to discuss whether physiotherapy is appropriate for you.
